Community Guidelines
Keep it cool, keep it clean, keep it creative
Hey there! 👋
Look, we're all here to have a good time and share cool Minecraft stuff. These guidelines aren't here to kill your vibe - they're just here to make sure everyone can enjoy the platform without running into sketchy downloads or inappropriate content.
Think of this as the "don't be a jerk" handbook. If you use common sense and respect other people's work, you'll be totally fine.
The Golden Rules
Add Value, Don't Just Copy
Your pack should actually do something cool. Don't just reupload someone else's work or make tiny changes and call it yours. Put in the effort - players can tell the difference.
Respect the Game & Its Creators
We follow Minecraft's EULA and Terms of Service, and you should too. Don't mess with stuff that Mojang or Microsoft explicitly say not to mess with. This applies to both what your pack does and how it works.
No Discrimination. Period.
Your pack shouldn't promote hate, discrimination, or anything that targets people based on who they are. We're here to build blocks, not walls between people.
Make It Your Own
Your project needs unique content - that means the name, icon, description, and the actual pack itself should be distinctly yours. Stand out from the crowd!
Forking & Giving Credit
Building on Someone Else's Work?
If you're modifying or building on top of another creator's pack:
- Make sure they allow forking in the first place
- Follow their license requirements (seriously, read those)
- Give proper credit to the original creator
- Include a direct link to their original work
Don't be that person who takes credit for someone else's hard work. The community notices, and it's not a good look.
Download System & File Requirements
Supported Download Methods
We support two ways to distribute your content:
- Direct hosting on Lyvio Studios - Upload your pack directly to our platform for instant, reliable downloads
- External links via Linkvertise - Currently supported for monetization purposes (more platforms coming soon!)
Important: If using external links, only Linkvertise is currently allowed. Other platforms like MediaFire, Google Drive, Dropbox, or direct download sites are not permitted at this time. We're working on supporting more options in the future!
Supported File Formats
When uploading your content, we accept the following formats:
- .mcpack - Minecraft Bedrock resource or behavior packs
- .mcaddon - Minecraft Bedrock addons (combined resource & behavior packs)
- .mcworld - Minecraft Bedrock worlds
- .zip - Standard archive format for any Minecraft content
That's it! We don't accept .rar, .7z, or any other archive formats. Keep it simple with the formats above.
File Requirements
Make sure your uploads meet these requirements:
- File size limit - Maximum 100MB per pack (contact us if you need more)
- No executables - Your pack files should NOT contain .exe, .bat, .dll, or any installer files
- Proper structure - Follow Minecraft's standard pack structure (manifest.json for Bedrock, pack.mcmeta for Java)
- Tested and working - Make sure your pack actually works before uploading
- Virus-free - All files are scanned, but make sure your pack is clean
Why These Restrictions?
By limiting download sources and file types, we can guarantee that downloads are safe, reliable, and always available. No dead links, no confusion about formats, and no worrying about malware. It's better for creators and better for players.
Content Quality
Put Some Effort In
Your pack should show that you actually care about it. We're looking for:
- Quality textures or mechanics (not just quick edits)
- A good description that explains what your pack does
- Screenshots or videos showing it in action
- Proper testing (make sure it actually works!)
Technical Stuff
Make sure your pack is compatible with current Minecraft versions. If it's for a specific version, say so clearly. Broken packs make everyone sad.
Moderation & Appeals
Got Rejected?
If your pack gets rejected, we'll tell you why. Read the feedback, make the changes, and resubmit. We're not trying to keep your content down - we just want to make sure everything meets the standards.
Think We Made a Mistake?
Humans do the reviewing, and humans aren't perfect. If you think your rejection was unfair, you can appeal. Just be respectful about it - our moderators are people too.
Spotted Something Sketchy?
If you find a pack that breaks these rules or seems inappropriate, report it! We can't catch everything, so we rely on the community to help keep this place clean.
Quick Don'ts List
Just to make it super clear, here's what NOT to do:
- Don't steal other people's work
- Don't include malware, viruses, or anything harmful
- Don't use misleading titles or descriptions
- Don't spam the same pack multiple times
- Don't include inappropriate or adult content
- Don't violate anyone's copyright
- Don't use multiple accounts to game the system
- Don't be rude to moderators or other creators
- Don't try to link to external download sites
Still Have Questions?
If something's unclear or you need clarification on the rules, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather answer your questions before you submit than reject your hard work after.
